Acts 1:8 Challenge

What is Acts 1:8?
Southern Baptists worldwide have chosen Jesus’ words in Acts 1:8 as the backbone of a new missions commitment. We’re challenging every church & every person to take Jesus’ words as He intended. We believe God can & will do awesome things if we each develop an intentional strategy for reaching our Jerusalem, our Judea, our Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the Earth. Georgia Baptists have embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, and we’re trusting God’s power to work through us.

Where Do New Churches Fit In?
Developing new congregations is a major part of the strategy at every level.  Whether locally (your Jerusalem,) or globally (the uttermost parts,) the principle is the same. New churches reach lost people at a faster rate than established churches. That’s why planting new congregations has to be at the center of any ACTS 1:8 strategy.  We believe there’s a way for every church in Georgia to be part of starting a new, multiplying church.
