Why Develop a Men’s Ministries in Your Church & Association?
For Every Ten Men In Your Church…
- nine will have kids who leave the church.
- eight will not find their jobs satisfying.
- six pay the monthly minimum on their credit card balances.
- five have a major problem with pornography.
- four will get divorced affecting 1,000,000 children per year.
- Only one has a Biblical worldview.
- ten will struggle to balance work and family.
An “On Mission” Lifestyle
Please consider these principles as you develop your Men’s Ministries:
- Purpose: Our purpose in Men’s Ministries is to assist the partnership of churches within the Georgia Baptist Convention in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
- Objective: Our objective in fulfilling that purpose is to empower men and boys for Kingdom service through education and personal involvement in missions and ministries.
- Strategy Statement: Strong men strengthen families. Families strengthen the church. A strong church reaches the world for Christ.
- Vision Statement: Create an environment in which men and boys will sense and respond to God’s call for salvation and service, to become Acts 1:8 Christians, and honor the Great Commission and Commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ through their churches and personal lives.

Challengers Missions Experiences for Guys in Grades 7 – 12
Challengers offers opportunities for young men to grow in their missions commitment through regular meetings and shared experiences. They learn about missions efforts around the world as they embark on personal missions locally.
Flexible and Simple Resources
Challengers is the best way to get young men involved in learning and doing missions. And because Challengers materials are well-organized and well-designed, leaders do not need extensive training or lengthy explanations. The Challengers Program offers materials that are self-directional, flexible and simple to use.
Challengers provides an arena for adult leaders and young men to grow in their relationship with God, their families, their peers and their church. It is where missions and ministry meet.
Challengers is missions education based on a weekly 45-minute meeting and a monthly missions and ministry project. It is designed for ease of use for the adult leader, but is grounded with depth for the individual who wants to explore God’s call on his life.

What is On Mission Connection?
OMC introduces International, North American, State and local on-mission Christians, highlighting the continuing missions opportunities of Southern Baptists. Participants are encouraged to examine their personal and on-mission commitments in a festive and energetic atmosphere.
OMCs are customized for churches and associations. An OMC can be scheduled as an association-wide event, as a regional event hosted by one church, or by a group of churches cooperating together.
Why should my church association conduct an OMC Event?
An OMC builds relationships between church members and Southern Baptist missionaries. It emphasizes the biblical basis for missions, leading the church to broaden their missions commitment and strengthen financial support of missionaries.
OMCs can also inspire a deeper commitment to pray for missions and missionaries as well as lead churches to re-evaluate their methods of church-wide missions awareness and mobilization.
To schedule an OMC complete these steps:
1. Confirm the Date
A 12 to 15 month lead time is needed to schedule an OMC.
To check the date you have in mind please contact:
Glen McCall, Men’s Ministries
770-936-5257 or 1-800-746-4422 ext. 257

Church Renewal Journey
How often do you hear people describe their church family interactions as passionate? Would you like to discover a way to make that the norm? Explore what the Church Renewal Journey can bring to your church – renewal, refreshing and passion. A new passion to worship and serve God as never before.
Click here to learn how to schedule Church Renewal Journey for your church.
The Journey takes place over four weekends:
Reawakens the church to its purpose and passion. The weekend refreshes the believers with a godly perspective of their role in service to others. It restores the love of Christ to those who have drifted from their commitment. The Awakening Weekend will bring the church together as a family.
A call to personal ministry, evangelism and personal discipleship. Believers will discover their spiritual gifts and consider practical applications of these gifts to evangelism and ministry. It is here that many understand for the first time that they, too, are called to ministry.
A time for the church to come apart from the world and spend time together in God’s presence. Participants will be encouraged and trained in biblical prayer that focuses on kingdom priorities.
A time where the church is encouraged to take the bold steps of being on mission to their neighbors and to the nations. At the end of the weekend, the congregation will have committed to an Acts 1:8 strategy, working to penetrate lostness in their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth.
