John Wesley had three simple rules that he lived by.
- Do no harm.
- Do good.
- Stay in love with God.
They seem pretty simple to follow or are they easier to fall away from?
- Do no Harm. Forget about the big harm like killing. What about everyday stuff like getting angry at someone? What about failing to share the gospel of Christ with our culture that is lost?
- Doing good. For me some days are better than others. We need to remember the greatest good we can do with our world is share the gospel. And, the third rule:
- Stay in love with God. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37). Maybe a focus first on the third rule would make ability to do #1 and #2 much easier.
Great Commission Resource Centers help Christians stay in love with God by training them to get involved in the culture by being a missionary to Unengaged Affinity Groups. By the way, engaging our culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ is the Bridge to Tomorrow. Your Regional State Missionary would be glad to come and share this Bridge To Tomorrow with you. It’s called being a Great Commission Resource Center or GCRC.
GCRC (Great Commission Resource Center) helps the pastor to lead his church to reach Unengaged Affinity Groups through discovering the passion of the members and lead them to use their passion for God’s purpose of Global Redemption. The concept is simple, yet dynamic, and can lead your church to become actively involved in the Great Commission.
The GCRC concept is not another program to promote, but a concept that produces involvement; involvement which produces passion; passion which produces participation, and participation that leads the church to accomplish Acts 1:8.
Every church is a Great Commission Resource Center. The Great Commission was given to every church and every believer.
