I had the opportunity to attend a conference where our own Larry Wynn, Vice President of Church Revitalization and Leadership Ministries spoke. He said something that really got my attention. He made the statement, “There is a difference in communicating and connecting.” As a result of that, I saw a brochure Larry put out and I want to share some ideas over the next few weeks regarding that statement.
Connecting Increases Your Influence In Every Situation. That is why GCRC is such an effective tool in our churches. Connections that are of great value have already been made. We are not talking about having to “develop new relationships”, but rather working through relationships that have already been established because of your connection with that person.
Connecting Is All About Others. Good communicators have enough humility to recognize that they are not the expert authorities on all matters. While no one is an authority in all things, you are an authority on your individual testimony. Share your testimony, the greatest thing that ever happened in your life, with those whom God has allowed you to “connect” with.
