Have you ever heard someone say, “My faith is a private matter.” I wish I had a nickel for every time I have heard someone make that statement. The tragedy of it is that some people have been duped into believing the lie.
Don’t buy the lie. While our salvation is a personal experience, it is far from private. It is personal because Jesus is a personal Savior. It is personal because salvation is a personal encounter between the individual and the Lord of Glory. It is personal because no one can get saved for you.
But the Word of God commands us that we are to willingly and readily share our personal salvation experience with those around. We are to deliberately look for occasions to share our faith with others. We gladly share with others the many blessings we encounter in our lives. When a child is born into our family, we tell everyone we know. When a grandchild is born we go out of our way to share that news with others.
We have the privilege and the responsibility to share the saving grace of a holy God with those we come into contact with. GCRC is simply another opportunity, another opening for us to share with others how their lives can be changed. How they can have their sins forgiven and have assurance of a home in Heaven.
Don’t allow yourself to be duped by the enemy. Don’t buy the lie that your faith is private. It is personal, but it is far from being private.
