Don’t Give Up: Your Regional State Missionary is available to you to assist your church in whatever way may be necessary. One of the greatest areas of ministry available is assisting you church a GCRC. (Great Commission Resource Center). As you no doubt have heard and read, the greatest strength of GCRC is reaching affinity groups in and around your community. As you seek to do that, sometimes you do not see the fruit right away that you would like to see. Don’t give up.
As I pastored, I was involved in a particular affinity group and we saw great success. Yet there was one particular area, for quite a while, I felt like I was not being as successful as I had hoped. Recently I received a phone call from one of the key people I was seeking to reach but appeared unsuccessful. After approximately fifteen years he has had a serious health issue and I received a phone call where a voice mail was left that said, “I’d like to talk with you when you get a chance sometime. I think the world of you and need to talk with you.” Rest assured this will be dealt with. But after fifteen years, he called me. The reminder to me is, don’t give up. Even when we don’t see the results we had hoped right away, God is still working.
GCRC (Great Commission Resource Center) helps the pastor to lead his church to reach Unengaged Affinity Groups through discovering the passion of the members and lead them to use their passion for God’s purpose of Global Redemption. The concept is simple, yet dynamic, and can lead your church to become actively involved in the Great Commission.
The GCRC concept is not another program to promote, but a concept that produces involvement; involvement which produces passion; passion which produces participation, and participation that leads the church to accomplish Acts 1:8.
Every church is a Great Commission Resource Center. The Great Commission was given to every church and every believer.
