I had the opportunity recently to go quail hunting with my sons and grandsons. What a time we had! As a boy, I grew up quail hunting and to me, there is nothing like it. It is just something I rarely get to do now. My grandsons had never been quail hunting, so it was a very interesting time. It really was amazing at how quickly they caught on. Of course, we taught them guns safety regarding other hunters and not shooting the dogs. But then they had to learn to “not just shoot”, but to take aim before shooting.
That reminded me of what GCRC is all about. My dad often said when you aim at nothing you will hit it every time. I fear that too many times in our churches we are busy doing a lot of things, but may really “aim” at nothing. GCRC helps local congregations take aim at certain affinity groups that are unreached. Yet there are people in your church with the same passion as these affinity groups. They have not yet learned to be intentional (aim) at uniting God’s Purpose with their passion.
GCRC (Great Commission Resource Center) helps the pastor to lead his church to reach Unengaged Affinity Groups through discovering the passion of the members and lead them to use their passion for God’s purpose of Global Redemption. The concept is simple, yet dynamic, and can lead your church to become actively involved in the Great Commission.
The GCRC concept is not another program to promote, but a concept that produces involvement; involvement which produces passion; passion which produces participation, and participation that leads the church to accomplish Acts 1:8.
Every church is a Great Commission Resource Center. The Great Commission was given to every church and every believer.
