A few months ago you may have seen a similar blog to this but it is different. As I was talking with a Pastor the other day, he made a statement that stirred my thoughts regarding GCRC. We were talking about the will of God and how so many have a false expectancy regarding the will of God, whether it’s an unveiling or unfolding. For example I have heard people talk about God unveiling His will for us to see, know and understand. As a result, not much is accomplished because they continue to wait for the “total unveiling” to allow them to see and know the direction to go.
Unveiling or Unfolding? I believe the Word of God teaches that the will of God is unfolded rather than unveiled in and for our lives. I believe that as Scripture teaches the Word of God is a Lamp unto our feet and a Light unto our path. As a lamp is to our feet and a light is to our path, we do not see everything clearly and openly laid out before us. But God in His grace does allow us light for the next step and clarity in our direction. As simply as can be stated, that is GCRC. It is not a complete “unveiling”, but rather a gradual, deliberate unfolding. As we seek to walk in the will of God as He reveals it, He sheds more light for the next step. As your people begin to get involved in GCRC, and do what God places upon their hearts for them to do, He brings others into the plan and purpose of global redemption through local ministry.
