Just about every week someone will ask me… So how do I get started Discipleship started in my church? Sometimes we get caught “doing” church and really don’t think about the Spiritual Condition of the people in our church. It was never intended that we convert to being a Christian and stop growing. It is not natural and honestly, there is no scriptural basis for not growing in Christ. If anything we should be constantly growing in relationship with Him
If we are to “abide” in Christ there must be a constant push for us to grow. Often we do our best for our kids and students to grow… what about adults? Just a few things to think about?
- When is the last time you invested in someone else’s life?
- When is the last time you invited someone to your church?
- When is the last time you read your Bible?
- When is the last time you served in your church?
- Do you give?
Discipleship Needs To Be the Priority
As adults it is important we continue to grow and in order to do that, we must give Discipleship a priority in our churches and in our lives. So how do we get started? Make Discipleship a priority. As the saying goes, “if everything is important then nothing is important”.
