How many times have we been guilty of planning to do something, getting everything organized and together, and then as we get ready to “launch”, we ask God to bless it. The Bible says the will of God is “good, acceptable and perfect.” So the Bible teaches it is good. That means the will of God is not bad or wrong. The Bible says it is acceptable. That means the will of God is reasonable. It makes sense. It works. The Bible says it is perfect. That means it cannot be improved upon. Since the Bible says those things about the will of God, it just makes good sense that we would seek to know the will of God. That comes only as we spend time with Him seeking to know what He would have us do; seeking the way He would have us go; seeking the way He would have it done. There are times man may try to manipulate a situation. But our God cannot be manipulated. And God is always a majority. I believe God wants us to know His will even more than we want to know it. So if we will seek Him, desire Him, want to know Him intimately, He will not disappoint us.
When we know Him, are walking with Him, are sensitive to Him, we can know the way He would have us go. We can know His will and have the pleasure of serving Him in obedience.
