Children's Ministry Certification
Equip your leaders to build a foundation of discipleship and spiritual growth in their children's ministry.
Do you have ministerial staff and lay leaders in your church’s Preschool and/or Children’s Ministry area who have a passion for children but have no formal education on the basics of ministry? Join us for our monthly meetings to learn how to better meet the needs of your preschoolers, children, teachers, and parents.
Details & Requirements
- Cost: $150 + required books
- Schedule: Monthly meetings from August–May
- Two in-person sessions at the Georgia Baptist Mission Board offices in Alpharetta (9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.)
- Seven sessions via Zoom
- Coursework: Required texts and readings throughout the program
Mentorship:
Upon completion of coursework, participants will enter a 3-month mentorship with an assigned children’s minister.
Mentor and mentee will meet monthly to focus on real-world, on-the-job training, including:
- Budgeting
- Event planning (VBS, back-to-school, etc.)
- School partnerships
- Ministry milestones
- Parent partnerships
- Safety and best practices
