New voter guides: Georgia 2022 Senate runoff

As we made available to you in September, we are going to be providing Georgia Baptists with another voter guide for the Senate runoff. This new voter guide is intended to help you choose the candidates you will vote for in the December 6th runoff.

It is important once again that you know as much as possible on the candidate’s positions on issues before you vote. The guide includes topics like abortion on demand, taxpayer funding of abortion, border security, school choice, Supreme Court justices, and protecting girls sports. These are just a few of the issues that will be in the forefront during the Georgia Senate runoff.

We need to understand that when it come down to it, elections are not so much about the personalities, as they are about candidate’s worldviews. Whose worldview lines up the most with what you know that God’s Word teaches. This why objective information is so important in choosing candidates.

These guides are provided by Faith and Freedom Coalition. They have worked independently to gather the candidate’s views on topics important to Georgia Baptists and Christians overall.

I am not asking you as a church to identify or endorse any candidate. Ask your congregation to pray over the moral issues of our time and choose which candidates may best represent your Christian beliefs and morals.

Once again, I would like to ask you, as your Georgia Baptist Public Affairs Representative, to consider making these Georgia Senate runoff election voter guides available to your congregation once you have access to them.

Let me also remind you that no Cooperative Program or mission board funds were used in providing these voter guides. The Faith and Freedom Coalition is providing this unbiased educational voter guide at their own expense across the state.

Thank you for considering the use of these voter guides. Voting is one of our most sacred duties as citizens of this great nation!
