The Gospel Is for Every People, Every Nation, Every Person

“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb…”

— Revelation 7:9

John was given a glimpse of heaven, and what he saw was remarkable. Around the throne of God stood people from every nation, tribe, language, and ethnicity worshiping Jesus together.

This reminds us of two powerful truths:

• Every person is deeply loved by God.
• The Gospel works in every culture, every community, and every corner of the world.

The ground is level at the foot of the cross. Jesus did not die for one race, one language, one nationality, or one social class. He died for all people. God’s heart has always been for the nations, and His plan has always been to redeem people from every background through the saving power of Christ.

The world often divides people by race, politics, economics, and culture. The Gospel unites people through the blood of Jesus.

Paul Chitwood wisely said:

“The world’s greatest problem is lostness—the only problem that doesn’t end when we die.”

Lostness affects every people group. But the good news is that the Gospel is powerful enough to reach every people group.

Between the command of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19–20 and the vision of the Great Multitude in Revelation 7:9 is the mission of the Church.

Questions to Reflect On

• Do I see people through the eyes of Jesus or through the lens of my own preferences and assumptions?
• Is there a group of people I find difficult to understand, love, or engage with?
• Do I believe the Gospel can transform every heart, regardless of background or culture?
• Who in my community needs to hear about the love and grace of Jesus?
• How am I participating in God’s mission to reach all peoples?

Action Steps

• Pray for a different people group, nation, or community each day this week.
• Ask God to help you see every person as someone He loves and desires to save.
• Build a relationship with someone whose background is different from your own.
• Share your testimony or the Gospel with at least one person this week.
• Support missions through praying, giving, going, or sending.

One day heaven will be filled with worshipers from every nation, tribe, people, and language. Until that day, the Church has a mission.

The Gospel is for everyone because God loves everyone.
