The Gospel

How can I know Jesus?

Jesus Christ wants to have a personal relationship with you. He wants to transform your life, forgive you, and give you hope. He wants to give you a fresh start. As God's creation, you were built for relationship with Him.

God Loves You

There is one true God – and God loves you! "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

The Problem

The problem is that you and I – all of us – have sinned and our sins separate us from God. What is sin? Sin is our choosing to do, and say, and think things that go against God’s desire for us.

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

Our sins separate us from God, who is holy and good. The penalty for our sins is eternal death and punishment and separation from God.

"The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23).

The Good News

The Good News is that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins.

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins. Even though He is the Son of God and is perfect and has never sinned, He was crucified as if He was a common criminal. He took the punishment for your sins.

After He died, God raised Him from the dead.

"Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred..."(1 Corinthians 15:3-6).

We Must Receive Christ

To receive God’s free gift of love, we must receive His Son Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.

"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12)

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.'" (John 14:6).

We receive Jesus Christ by turning to God and asking Him to forgive our sins, and receiving Jesus Christ by faith as our Savior and Lord.

[Christ speaking] "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20).

If you would like to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you can pray this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I ask your forgiveness for my sins. Thank you for dying on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I believe you died for my sins and I receive you as my Savior and Lord. I invite you into my life and I want to follow you as my Savior and Lord.”
