Pastor Wellness

We exist to love and care for our pastors, ministry leaders, and their families.

Every week pastors and ministry leaders are expected to provide spiritual guidance, helpful counsel, and conflict management while also allotting time each week to study, preach, develop teams, recruit volunteers, oversee church administration, lead their families, and care for their personal well-being. Trusted data demonstrates that too often church leaders lack community, feel isolated, and navigate difficult seasons without needed resources. Pastor Wellness serves Georgia Baptist pastors, ministry leaders, and their families by reaching out to build relationships that facilitate community, confidentiality, relevant coaching, and support in crisis.

Right Start

Right Start assists Georgia Baptist churches during the time immediately after their pastor leaves. We can help to bring stability to the church during the early days of a pastor transition and assess the immediate needs of the church.

Pastor Search Committee Training

The Pastor/Staff Committee training presents a chronological, step-by-step process of the work of a Pastor/Staff Search Committee. The training includes resources to help the committee lead the church in searching for God’s Will regarding a new minister.

Transitional Pastor Training

We offer trainings for ministers who are interested in learning how to become a transitional pastor. The trainings are held at the Georgia Baptist missions and ministry center offered regionally.

Conflict Mediation

A process of third-party mediation is available to churches, church staffs, and associations which is led by trained and certified third-party mediators. Seminars on “Understanding and Resolving Conflict” are available for small groups, churches, and associations.
